Finding the intercepts of a linear equation can be counter intuitive. The easy (and incorrect way) to find an intercept like the x intercept is to set x = 0. Or to find the y intercept, set y = 0.
As George found out in an episode of Seinfeld, sometimes you need to do the opposite.
